Welcome to the With Love Valentines Day Blog Hop! This is a wonderful event with a bunch of author's participating and so MANY great prizes up for grabs. Thanks to the wonderful Drea for organizing it :). For those of you who might land here and don't know me, I write hot and steamy romance, contemporary as well as paranormal/urban fantasy real soon. My stories have tough alpha heroes who might be a little rough and rugged around the edges, but when they fall for the heroine? Man, they fall hard. They'd do anything, endure anything, sacrifice anything. For her. Sigh...
So what am I giving away? I'm giving away a $25 dollar gift card to an online book store (winner's choice) AND a copy of any 1 book from my ebook backlist! Not bad, right?
How can you win? Follow me, friend me or follow this blog and leave a comment here through the 14th telling me the most unusual, special, funny, touching thing you ever got or did for Valentines Day! I'll select a random commenter from this post as the winner!
Ready to go hopping and see what else is up for grabs? Click on the badge below and check out the other great participants!! Good luck and have a wonderful Valentines Day!!

happy valentines day hop,

When me and my hubby started dating I was still in high school and our first v-day he sent roses and a huge teddy bear to school for me :) and had been spoiling me ever since! Happy Valentines day :)
ReplyDeletebrandon_savannah@yahoo.com
The best Valentines gift I can think I have ever gotten was 8 years ago. After 3 years of trying to get pregnant a second time we found out I was finally pregnant just days before Valentines. Aside from that one my hubby has always been awesome with gifts, he really knows me and always knows just what I will like. Even if its just a book or a Cd or cake supplies. He is the best!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful Valentines day!

Hope you have a naughty Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Valentine's Day gift was given to me in college. We had been dating for one month. He gave me a necklace and a huge teddy bear. It was the first time a man had given me jewelry. We were engaged two months later.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the giveaway! I follow you on Twitter as @GeishasMom73

Although I am long time married, I'll never forget way back in high school we had Candy Grams. For .50 the social committee would deliver red candy heart suckers with little messages to home room classes on Feb 14th.
ReplyDeleteWell I sent one to this boy I liked. I will never forget how nervous I was sending the message and I chickened out never signing my name on the little note. I cant remember exactly what I said but I am sure it was something lame like "OMG you're so cute" lol
No I never did tell him it was me. My total red face may have given it away if he had glanced my way.
I am much braver now. *giggles*
Thanks for the awesome giveaway.

ReplyDeletemy most special Valentine's Day was last year because it was the 1st year my boyfriend and i were physically together to celebrate. The previous 2 years we were apart due to our long distance relationship
catherine0807 at hotmail dot com
Probably the most touching was one year in my mid 20's when I was on bed rest due to blood clots, my sister brought her 3 kids over to spend the day and we were all curled up on a pull out couch, watching movies & eating popcorn. That definitely helped to pass the time.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy V'day

Three years ago on Valentines my DH to be drove 8 hours to come see me because I told him I needed him. He at that time was just a friend and had been in the friend zone for ohhh 13 yrs. We hadn't talked much for a few years and when he came to rinky dink cow tipping land in bfe Kansas it felt right. We had dinner, he brought me a card and flower and asked me why he was never good enough. Only took him 13 years to tell me he'd loved me for 13 yrs. Over the next two weeks he drove back to help me pack and move back home where I belonged. Hasn't been a cakewalk but I couldn't imagine spending my life without him. The prospect of it ever happening is soul crushing.

I don't celebrate the Valentine's Day (I think it's a commercial trap), but I welcome any gift or a sign of affection. The nicest (and unexpected) thing I received was an 'thank you' book from my high school classmates.

ReplyDeleteI loved my Valentine's day last year! I was single and so was my best friend who was gay. We went and got massages, went out for a nice lunch, and then saw the movie Valentine's day. It was a nice, fun bonding day. Just proves you don't need to be in a relationship for the day to be celebrated and special!

Last Valentine's Day was the best for me! My wonder man surprised me with an engagement ring! He took me to the store just to "try on" rings. Unbeknownst to me, he had already bought the ring and when I tried it on I was informed it was mine!! I was so excited and happy I almost fainted! Best day EVER!!

I tend to make my boyfriend a homemade meal every Valentine's Day. I supposed this could be romantic or horrible depending on how it turns out as it's always him playing the role of guinea pig. :)

The first V-day with a boyfriend, was after he & I were both out of high school. One of my friends knew this caterer who offered a special box lunch for Valentines day, delivered with a rose, some chocolate & a stuffed animal. I ordered one for my guy & had it delivered to him at the gas station where he was working. He was very surprised & very embarrassed, but he took the time when he got off work, to pick me up flowers & candy, which he later admitted he might not have bothered with if I hadn't got him first. He never got me anything for Vday after that, so is it any wonder, the relationship ended?
